Welcome to Seva Sadan Collge of Education website. It is one of the oldest and premier colleges of Education. Established in 1966 to actualize the mission of providing quality teacher education, Seva Sadan College of Education strives to contribute towards developing tomorrow’s teachers equipped with the values of collaboration, compassion and commitment.
The College is located at a nodal point amidst schools and colleges and various learning centres. It thus networks with multiple stakeholders and extends its services even to the deprived and under privileged. The focus of social justice, equity and inclusion is never lost while discovering new ways of making education accessible, reachable and available to all.
I, as the present I/c Principal, take the honour of carrying on the legacy of the torch bearers of Seva Sadan College of Education, who have worked towards making this College a portal of innovative, ground –breaking and empowering teacher education. As we move forward, we strive towards cultivating grounded reflective practices, contributing towards the ever evolving hub of knowledge.
The Faculty are the pillars of the College. They are each unique and potential agents of social change, through their processes of teacher education, fulfilling the mission and vision statement of the Institute in their own resourceful way. The student teachers, batch after batch, are inspired to raise their bars of excellence, but at the same time to be sensitive in taking their fellow students along with them.
To conclude, we earnestly reiterate that Education is an act of love which will conquer all differences and hurdles and make way for a just and humane society for God’s Greater Glory. As the words of the College anthem go “we will achieve all this and more...”
